Believing you’re Batman 🦇 makes you perform better.

It’s scientifically proven — just Google “Batman Effect.”

The “Batman Effect” is about “stepping into the role” of an alter ego that’s braver, smarter, more capable, or more confident than who we think we are.

Multiple studies show it — you get better results at whatever you’re attempting when you fully embody a character.

Kobe Bryant does it. His alter ego is called Black Mamba 🖤

David Bowie had Ziggy Stardust ✨

Adele switches to “Sasha Carter.” Beyoncé becomes “Sasha Fierce.”

I did it without even realizing it.

I was the introverted kid who got bullied.

When I finished high school, I went traveling for a year, changed my name (to Luis) and built a more extroverted, assertive personality from scratch.

When I came back, I kept the new personality — though I did prefer going by Salomón 🙈

I’ve been in character for almost 20 years now, honestly don’t know how I’d go back hahaha

I think this is an incredibly powerful effect.

Do any of you have an alter ego? Or did it happen to you like it did to me — your alter ego eventually replaced your old self?
