I got the scariest email of the year 💀 — a notice from the DIAN (Colombia’s tax authority)…

And fortunately — it was a scam. From some random email (karolina0247**@gmail.com), no name or ID number in the body, asking me to open a .zip with the supposed “irregularity”…

I can’t pretend I didn’t break out in a cold sweat when I saw it (for some reason Gmail didn’t send it to Spam)…

Do a lot of people actually fall for these things? At least they could’ve registered a domain and used an email that looked halfway legit…

Recently I’ve gotten several others too. One about taxes on a package supposedly stuck at customs, another about a credit card change, another saying I needed to update my Netflix password.

How do you protect yourself from this stuff? I feel like one tiny distraction or moment of rushing, and boom — you’re hooked.
