In 2017, iNNpulsa Colombia (through Apps.co) accelerated my first Startup: PrestaGente.
I had incredible mentors (Alejandra López Álvarez, Ricardo Calderón Magaña, Pedro Villegas, Camilo Jiménez Fuentes), I made my first connections in large-scale entrepreneurship, shared spaces with others who were just starting out and are now big names (Naranja Media, We Are Content, Symplifica), and met people who supported every step of the way and whom I still run into today (Tatiana León, Alejandro Vizcaino Matallana, Daniel Martin).
From all those connections came the eventual sale of PrestaGente, which led to creating (and shutting down) Beriblock, and the know-how to create and sell Finco (now RED Atlas).
Innpulsa was the first step on my path, just as it was for many other entrepreneurs in Colombia.
Then they managed Data Science for All by Correlation One, the program through which I “consecrated” myself as a Data Scientist, gained the know-how to take Finco forward, and helped build a Data community in the country. From there I met incredibly talented Data professionals like Rafael Sanabria, Wilmar Sepulveda Herrera, Rasheed Sabar, Ana Maria Lopez Moreno, and many more.
Let’s build and strengthen the institutions that fuel innovation and entrepreneurship in this country.
