Last commit of the year. With Claude Code, obviously 🤖

In 2025, I only coded from September to December and made 493 contributions on GitHub. And coding is only about 40% of my job.

In 2021, when my job was 80% coding, I made 706 contributions over the entire year.

164 per month vs. 60 per month. 2.5X. And thinking about the actual time I spent coding, it’s more like 5X.

And the quality of the 2025 commits was so much, so much better than 2021 (or any other year of my life).

If you haven’t gotten on the bus at this point, you’re crazy. There’s no way to compete if you’re not coding with AI.
