I keep talking about balance… and I lost it these last 3 weeks 🫠
Things at Ignia were going well — but they got out of hand, and with that, my balance went straight out the window.
Concrete example: I’d been posting every day for roughly 4 months (with good results). Then I started doing it later and later, in a rush. Then I missed a Wednesday (broke my 4-month streak!!). Then last week, I stopped for 3 days.
Same thing happened in other areas — I missed meetings, I was up working until late, I was on WhatsApp with my kids right there next to me.
It’s really hard to build a startup and maintain perfect balance. This is my first proper post back. We’re going to hire more people to grow in a healthier way. Done with the phone when my kids are around.
I’m fixing it. But it still happened — and I don’t know how to make sure it doesn’t happen again 🙈
How do you guys keep the work and the operational grind from slowly eating up time for everything else? Or is it inevitable sometimes?
