These past few days, I realized I’d fallen back into one of my old mistakes: arrogance.
You think you’re growing, improving, getting past your flaws and weaknesses… and then you relapse 🫠
It was my most obvious flaw at around age 20. Over time I felt like I’d gotten it down to manageable levels (still always something to work on, but better).
And this weekend, I caught myself — I slipped back 🙈. And I’m sure the same has happened with many other things I thought I’d moved past.
You need constant self-reflection to avoid relapsing — and people around you who’ll tell you when you can’t see it yourself. In my case, someone close to me helped me see it. And I’m grateful for it with love ❤️
“Honest and constructive feedback” isn’t just for work — it’s essential for growing as a person.
How do you guys stay alert to these kinds of things? How do you sustain improvement over time?
